Our manufacturing facility in Brazil, conveniently located in Jaguariúna, is part of the Greater Campinas. This region, in total, has a population of approximately 3.3 million inhabitants and is considered a large industrial hub, with several sectors specializing in technology and driving the economy. It is coined as the "Brazilian Silicon Valley", with excellent services, leisure, and tourism options, including hotel and restaurant facilities.

Our Jaguariúna site is focused on the production of medicines like Faktu, Noripurum, and Mesacol, including Vyvanse for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), in addition to full packaging for gastrointestinal treatments such as Dexilant, Pantoprazole and Vonoprazan.

At this location, there are around 700 employees across different areas dedicated to Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Business Excellence, Manufacturing & Science, and more.

The site has three manufacturing buildings for liquids, solids, and semisolids pharmaceutical forms, including physical-chemical and micro laboratory, warehousing, and utilities.

Supporting Takeda’s Sustainability Commitments

The Jaguariúna site has already achieved a Scope 1 zero carbon emissions target by purchasing renewable electricity.

Another remarkable achievement was to become a zero landfill factory by adopting sustainable procedures and technologies for disposal (e.g. pyrolysis), recycling, upcycling, and waste-to-energy supply.
