JOB FUNCTION:

The role involves coordinating, collaborating, implementing, and evaluating Learning and Growth Programs that align with the specific training needs of Takeda Iberia's Business Units and Departments. These initiatives are closely aligned with the company's strategic transformational needs.

Working closely with Business Unit Directors, First Line Managers, Medical Managers, Department Managers, and HRBPs, the role aims to ensure that Takeda's capability requirements are met. This includes equipping members of Commercial and Medical teams, especially those in Success Profiles roles such as KAMs, IFMAs, MSLs, Brand Leads, Medical Advisors, FLMs, and all other positions within Takeda Iberia, with the necessary capabilities to fulfill job requirements effectively in Spain and Portugal.

The Learning and Growth Specialist focuses on driving innovation in digital learning methodologies and spearheading the integration of digital tools to elevate the organization's capabilities for Digital Transformation.

The individual in this role is accountable for organizing and providing appropriate training for the Business Units and Departments of Takeda Iberia, ensuring these initiatives align with Takeda's capability requirements and strategic goals.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

Develop, coordinate, collaborate, implement, and evaluate of an annual development training plan:

  • The role is cantered on crafting and implementing learning programs specifically designed for the unique requirements of our Business Units and Departments. Utilizing a hands-on approach, it emphasizes acquiring practical knowledge in products, diseases, business acumen, and core capabilities, alongside a significant emphasis on advancing the Next Generation of Customer Experience (NGCE) and Omnichannel (OC) capabilities for customer-facing roles. This role is pivotal in ensuring our teams are well-prepared to tackle current and future challenges, thereby driving Takeda's success in Spain and Portugal. It involves developing varied learning paths for different teams across BUs, primarily focusing on roles such as KAMs, IFMAs, and MSLs in Spain and Portugal, while ensuring these paths are applicable to all positions within Takeda Iberia.

  • Responsibilities include identifying and analyzing developmental areas that align with franchise strategies, effectively implementing learning and development plans using resources efficiently. This includes leveraging company systems and tools, engaging external vendors judiciously, and utilizing in-house trainers or directly delivering training when necessary.

  • The individual is accountable for organizing relevant learning initiatives for Bus and Departments. These initiatives should be impactful, possibly incorporating external partners to enhance the learning experience. Collaboration across Bus/ Departments is essential to support them and to forge a robust, cohesive learning and development strategy.

  • Further duties involve executing EUCAN learning and development initiatives in collaboration with the L&D manager, working with local brand teams to create and conduct training activities and workshops that do not include scientific/medical content. The role requires close partnership with the Learning and Development manager to seek out high-impact development solutions that boost team performance.

  • Monitoring the effectiveness of learning and development plans in the field is crucial, as is maintaining an updated record of training activities based on assessment results. Providing constructive feedback to identify ongoing training needs is also a key part of the role, ensuring that the scope of responsibilities encompasses all positions within Takeda Iberia’s Business Units and Departments.

The Learning and Growth Specialist, has a crucial emphasis on Digital Transformation, places significant focus on:

  • Promoting innovative and out-of-the-box approaches to digital transformation, exploring and implementing novel digital learning platforms and technologies to revolutionize educational experiences.

  • Championing the adoption of cutting-edge digital tools and methodologies, pushing the boundaries of traditional learning to support the organization's transformation goals.

  • Staying at the forefront of digital trends and educational innovation, to craft and deliver learning programs that not only meet but anticipate the evolving needs of the organization.

On Boarding programs for all Iberia employees:

  • To own and improve the Iberia on Boarding programs for all BUs and Departments employees and aligned to internal training SOPs.

  • Responsible of managing and coordinating the cross functional teams (Medical, Marketing, Customer Excellence) in order to get the excellence in the execution of the On Boarding programs for infield employees.

  • To ensure an updated track of every training activity based on assessment results and provide constructive feedback to improve the training activities included in the plan.

  • Monitor the implementation of the functional On Boarding plan for infield employees and provide and receive feedback. Coordinate and Improve the New Joiners Academy.

Business Partnering with other departments (DD&T, Comms, Marketing,etc)

  • The role involves closely partnering with all Departments and Business Units (BUs) to provide support and guidance on developing technical and business skills using the latest and most innovative learning solutions. This includes offering support in leadership and management training to deliver consistent and high-impact development solutions for our teams.

  • Additionally, the role encompasses advising and guiding on leadership development, tailored specifically to the business areas supported, to equip our teams with the necessary leadership qualities for success.

  • A key responsibility also includes acting as the administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS) and the Bloom Platform, promoting optimal use of these platforms to enhance learning and development across the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the digital learning environment is effectively leveraged, providing seamless access to learning resources and support for all team members in their development journeys.

Other Responsibilities

  • Maintain a continuous update in the external training offer.

  • Maintain e-learning platforms.

  • Comply with Internal Training SOPs, audits, and External Iberia regulations.

  • Report the importance of compliance with current regulations and practices and codes that regulate the promotion of products in the different training actions.

  • Ensure in their responsibility area that we work according to corporate compliance, Ethics Code and legal standards.

  • Communicate to the pharmacovigilance department any adverse reactions known to you, at the moment you are aware of them, according to the internal procedure of the company.

  • Manage relationship with external vendors to provide a high-quality portfolio of learning initiatives which are cost effective and fit for purpose.

  • Promote and show the “Takedaism” philosophy commitment and the company values.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

Education:

  • University degree (Healthcare degree preferred…)

  • Post graduate degree preferred (MBA or similar)

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Learning and Development role in a multinational organization preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.

Skills:

  • The ideal candidate is characterized by an innovative spirit and dedication to self-improvement, paired with appropriate levels of empathy and interpersonal skills essential for engaging with both internal and external customers effectively. This individual is skilled in communicating and influencing across all organizational levels, including senior management, showcasing exceptional presentation skills.
