OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Manage the Takeda / GMS (Global Manufacturing & Supply)-wide master data collaboration environment and rules from a Supply Chain Management point of view
  • Lead and drive Material Master Governance among Global Manufacturing & Supply Japan in collaboration with GSC (Global Supply Chain), GQ (Global Quality), Global and Local IT, OESSM (Oncology,  External Supply, Small Molecules) and all related business functions
  • Impement Material Master Data management processes with IT on MDG (Master Data Governance) along with GMS business strategy to maintain accurate material data quality

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Contribute to the Material Master Data Management strategy for Global Manufacturing & Supply Japan through master data operation
  • Responsible for master data cleansing and maintenance on SAP MDG / IBP / APO based on current/future business process requirements
  • Review and approve master data registration on SAP MDG owned by Global Manufacturing & Supply Japan to maintain data accuracy
  • Manage material master data maintenance schemes  for Supply Chain Management and the Global Manufacturing & Supply Japan organization, including 3 maufacturing sites in Hikari / Osaka / Narita, to realize DD&T(Data Digital & Technology) commitments by fully utilizing SAP MDG
  • Define and maintain data definitions based on the alignment with Global members by attending MD Community of Practise
  • Lead thorough awareness of business data requirements and code definitions / maintenance rules
  • Align business requirements with business users based on the required business flow
  • Manage and solve business critical issues with related parties and technical issues with IT
  • Collaborate with STRIVE, eAGILE initiatives, TaskForce projects to satisfy business requirements by guiding required material master information
  • Improve Supply Chain KPI in alignment with MRP targets from data management view point

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • 8+ years' experience in supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, product development, project management, sales & marketing, quality, purchasing, finance, or legal.
  • Project management experience related to Supply Chain Management in a global manufacturing company.
  • Must have good communication skills to collaborate with mutual stakeholders.
  • Must have experience in data analysis
  • Capable of presenting, communicating and facilitation in both Japanese and English. 
  • Software skills – SAP ECC, SAP MDG, SAP BW (or equivalent DB system), MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

Leadership

  • Demonstrates practical ways of thinking, finding innovative ways to serve patients, and build trust, reputation and business
  • Develop reliable material master maintenance process to keep accurate data for the business
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to achieve project targets

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • According to Takeda T-MAP, GMS T-MAP and Takada DoA, etc., as Role 3, decision making and autonomy rights have been granted for the Global Manufacturing & Supply JapanSupply Chain area and as a Master Data Management member

Interaction

  • Manage and control Material Master / MDG related projects 
  • Collaborate with cross functional organizations such as Global Supply Chain, Global Distribution & Logistics, GMS E2E full business functions
  • Collaborate with Local MDG users to integrate MD maintenance processes as one Takeda
  • Collaborate with Local / Global IT members to secure master related system functionalities
  • Collaborate with other Takeda sites for maintaining shared material master data
  • Collaborate with all of supply chain members to unify Supply Chain related KPIs from a mater data view point

Innovation

  • Lead change management to establish Master Data Management processes for Global Manufacturing & Supply Japan
  • Help Supply Chain Business Planning activities from a data management view point
  • Collaborate with DD&T initiatives to improve operational / financial performance

Complexity

  • Cover Global Manufacturing & Supply Japan E2E process related materials registered on MDG and used in SAP modules
  • Work as a team members to establish a material management governance structure in Global Manufacturing & Supply Japan from “0”
  • Improve business data quality by collaborating with cross functional parties including overseas sites
  • Work globally within a diversified organization

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Education:

  • Bachelor or master degree or equivalent in related fields
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate by PMI or equivalent preferred
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional(CSCP) certificate by APICS or equivalent preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge – comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical or related industry in manufacturing & supply environments in a large multi-national prescription drug manufacturer or related organization.
  • Communication – ability to manage and monitor Master Data quality in a persuasive and appropriate manner internally and externally.
  • Strategic Implementation – ability to implement and monitor the overall supply chain strategy through knowledge of the company’s operations, procurement expertise, industry knowledge and competitive analysis.
  • Management – collaborate, project management, status tracking, conflict resolution and partnering with other departments and across cultures.
  • People Development – ability to verify Material Master data quality to provide suggestions for improvement and mentoring opportunities.
  • Analytical Skills – ability to analyze a wide variety of material data including Basic info, planning parameters, characteristics for reporting to make strategic sourcing decisions and analyze forecasted sales, historical demand, in-transit and potential stock-out figures to make daily management and production decisions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management – builds good relationship between company and 3rd party vedors if necessary, to foster strong support for Material Master management.
  • Experience – in two or more of the following areas: Engineering, Project Management, Operations/Production Manager or Materials Manager, Pharmacist/Scientist.
  • Fluent business level Japanese/English capability, writing and verbal communication skills.
