Job Description

About the role:

The MCM project leader will manage projects and change control for material changes/implementation (raw material, auxiliaries, excipients, and packaging) for all impacted manufacturing sites, ensuring supply continuity and business growth. You will coordinate raw materials implementation for products while balancing plant efficiency, sales, distribution, customer service, while meeting inventory, manufacturing, quality and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time role reporting to the Director of Supply Chain in Social Circle, GA.

How you will contribute:

Address controversial Supply Chain factors and needs (Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management) in the context of material change to one Supply Chain implementation strategy process; lead projects with different levels of complexity affecting multiple sites and products.

  • Manage projects for raw material changes (Supplier Notifications of Change, Material Change Requests, Decommissioning and Product Exits) for all products/plants considering lowest possible impact on market supply and manufacturing operations while still maintaining highest possible efficiency in change implementation.
  • Lead cross-divisional projects with a broad scope: Identify and engage necessary resources. Identify barriers and recommend solutions. Develop a project plan and implement to timeline. Communicate project status to requestors, customers and senior management.
  • Define implementation plan and mitigation strategy based on supply/demand forecast. Optimize inventory levels with Supply Planning to reduce the financial impact of the change while securing the launch of new material.
  • Align different Supply Chain views and requirements in the context of material change to the implementation strategy.
  • Lead global teams in defining strategies, developing goals, assigning project tasks and ensure the team meets all goals.
  • Analyze complex data with the understanding of trade-offs between different business objectives and present recommendations; ensure globally harmonized application of raw material implementation processes across the different functions and facilities
  • Manage process performance of material changes; define and control transparent process for business case development of requested material changes as base for definition of project priority and required implementation target date.
  • Process understanding and improvement, and establish and maintain relationships with customers (sites), partners, third parties/vendors.
  • Initiate escalation processes and facilitate problem resolution for issues endangering supply continuity or fulfillment of business-critical goals.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 4+ years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business, operations, Supply Chain or other related technical field. and some related experience.
  • Project Management, Change Control, Supply Chain, Materials Management knowledge. People Management per experience and education
  • IT: ERP systems (C3ME or others), EQM systems (e.g. TrackWise, Saba), project management tools, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Interaction with team members of different origin and multiple locations; focus on continuous improvement.
  • Prefer experience working in an FDA regulated environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequently or constantly lift, carry push, pull, or move objects and repetitive motions.
  • You will have a combination of sedentary work and walking around the facility.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Work is performed in an office setting.
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions.
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
  • Can work off hours.
  • May enter controlled environments requiring special gowning. 
  • No makeup, no jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, artificial fingernails maybe worn in the manufacturing environment

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to create quality products and we aim to create a safe environment for our team members. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product or putting anyone at the site in harm's way. You may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$108,500.00 - $170,500.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
