About the role

As the Manufacturing Training Specialist, you will help develop a the latest plasma processing facility for Takeda, expanding cGMP capacity for Fractionation, Albumin, IG Purification, IG Filling, and biologic medication packaging. You will manage GxP and developmental training for Manufacturing Teams. Collaborate with Manufacturing Managers/Supervisors to ensure completion and documentation of regulatory and developmental training in Learning Management Systems. Assist Manufacturing Managers/Supervisors in team development and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires in assigned areas. Specialist in manufacturing training needs (Fractionation, Albumin, IG) development, including overseeing the management of manufacturing progression assessment milestone testing. You will involve devising strategies to improve metric performance and guide strategic enhancements in areas such as New Employee training , New Employee Onboarding Systems, and Continued Education opportunities.

How you will contribute

  • Develop and update training plans for diverse manufacturing departments by conducting comprehensive gap analyses.
  • Deliver specialized training on process knowledge to empower employees with the necessary expertise.
  • Track and present reports on training completion, providing regular updates to departments on training progress.
  • Lead the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Aids, On-the-Job Training (OJT) materials, and Knowledge and Skill Assessments.
  • Complete special projects related to training and continuous improvement.
  • Be the contact to troubleshoot and resolve LMS system issues, representing designated areas in LMS-related meetings and requirements.
  • Manage the deployment of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) incident response training in collaboration with operational teams. Oversee, coach, and cultivate your reporting team, fostering their growth and productivity.
  • Manage New Employee training and qualification Teams and associated processes, focusing on optimizing "Lead Time to Effectiveness" and "Readiness for the Floor."
  • Lead Manufacturing Onboarding, encompassing training for systems like DeltaV and EBM, and multiple safety protocols.
  • Lead the deployment of continued education opportunities, such as Takeda training systems, the qualified trainer program, external or additional trainings, and shutdown training.
  • Provide valuable input on change control processes related to training.
  • Collaborate in Quality Periodic Reviews and CAPA related to training.

What you bring to Takeda

  • High school diploma or GED plus 4+ years of related experience or bachelor's degree in science, engineering or other related technical field and some related experience.
  • Will work in a team environment.
  • Database management experience
  • Learn management system experience and functionality
  • Must having experience in the following production areas: Fractionation, Albumin, IG Purification, IG Filling, and biologic medication packaging.
  • Will support operations teams to develop need-based training plans.
  • Facilitate on shift delivery of training (non-routine).
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Will work in controlled environments requiring special gowning.
  • Will follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$56,000.00 - $88,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
