Job Description

About the role:

The brief demands a commitment to the efficient control and operation of the Warehouse including but not limited to; Waste Management, Receipts, Sampling, Over Labelling, supply to Production and Shipping functions and interaction with warehouse Automation system. It also demands a high level of motivation and flexibility within the Logistics Department.

Fully onsite work mode with 2 cycle shift.

Note a background check is required as part of the recruitment process for this role. Once the successful candidate has started they will also have to complete Garda Vetting.

How you will contribute:

  • Compliance with Takeda Ireland Ltd (TIL) standards including cGMP (current Good manufacturing Practice).
  • Operation and control of Warehouse in strict compliance with procedures incorporating current Good Warehouse Practice and garbing policies.
  • Operate Fork Lift Truck, Narrow Aisle Truck and other handling equipment as required or deemed appropriate.
  • Picking of materials for sampling and production in accordance with the Production Schedule.
  • Help with the sampling of incoming materials to ensure compliance to quality standards
  • Observe wearing the correct Protective Clothing as per Standard Operating Procedures when sampling or working in Warehouse.
  • Ensure work area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and that all work is carried out in a systematic, efficient and effective manner. This includes removal and management of waste materials in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • On-going participation with the generation and maintenance of relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assistance in the design, implementation and running of stock management/control system.
  • Strict compliance with all safety procedures and a participation in the development and utilisation of the Safety Statement.
  • Complete all relevant documentation, including the use of computers/scanners to maintain internal stock control system in TIL.
  • Interaction with warehouse Automation system and related hardware and software
  • Active participation in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Report directly to Warehouse Team Leader

General Responsibilities:

  • Participate fully in any cross functional training initiatives.
  • Guide and promote the corporate values of Takeda-ism within the workplace.
  • Actively foster, in cooperation with other TIL staff, an ethos and culture of safety awareness where safety is accepted as an important part of the business. Ensure that Accident Reports / Near Miss Forms are completed promptly after an event.
  • Ensure timely completion of all SOP, reading, training and assessment.
  • Other tasks as required and directed by the Director, Supply Chain or other Officer appointed by the Board of Directors.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Leaving Certificate Required. Proof of education will be required for successful applicants.
  • 1 year previous experience in a Pharmaceutical or Regulated Environment preferable.
  • Experience in an automated Warehouse environment.
  • Forklift licence while not essential would be advantageous.
  • Can work at heights.
  • Strong team player who demonstrates flexibility and enthusiasm.
  • Experience using SAP is desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a Lean/Six sigma environment would be an advantage.
