Digital Lead - Takeda Ireland
We are looking for a person to super charge our digital and data journey, to do this, you will need to be able to learn and understand our business and translate that into impactful activities in the digital and data science space. The key focus of this role will be to Lead the Digital program on site in Bray. The successful candidate will drive the execution for local implementation of GMSGQ data analytics roadmap initiatives as well as any local digital / data initiatives, and deliver programs to focus on upskilling a group of ‘Digital Citizens’ as well as upskilling all site members.
The Digital Lead will work with Data Scientists and within Operating Units and Regions and across all geographies and support engineering innovation initiatives (COBOTs, Robots, and 3D Printing).
Lead Digital and Data Strategy on site
Develop, Maintain and govern the site digital and Data strategy
Ensure alignment with Global Digital strategy
Assess, recommend, and implement new technologies to site
Manage the delivery of digital and data projects at site level
Provide technical leadership in both data management and data science approaches to site and team
Collaborate with Digital and Data Science Teams within region/OpU to align on best practices.
Encourage Digital Team to be active contributors and collaborators within OpU/Region or across Takeda e.g., Communities of Practice (CoP).
Create appropriate digital capabilities at site to deliver the digital roadmap utilizing the support from global functions/Business Excellence Teams, as necessary.
Coach digital concepts and mindsets and behaviours across the organization, including Senior Leadership.

Develops vision, drives change, and supports others in the change management process
Influencing across the organisation outside of direct reporting lines
Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to create value for Takeda as needed. Capable of assessing complex situations and communicating status, resolution alternatives, costs and benefits, resource requirements, implications, and recommendations to senior management.
Interacts with all levels of the organisation and collaborates strongly with global Digital and Data Science Teams – developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Takeda network.
Passionate about digital technology and advances site digital program
Participates in relevant industry fora as appropriate, conferences, benchmarking groups etc. to further Takeda’s pursuit of excellence.
Ideally, we are looking for a person with a strong bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Engineering, Supply chain, IT etc. who also has a strong background and/or qualification in Data Science and Digital management.
Experience in bio/pharmaceuticals, biotechnology or life sciences industry is preferred
High level project management skills – ability to lead portfolio of projects
Proven Digital, Data Management & Data Science skill set required
High curiosity for learning and applying new Technologies is critical
