Join us in the capacity of Network Raw Material Planning Managerin our offices in either Zurich Opfikon in Switzerland or Vienna in Austria.

The Network Raw Material Planning Manager within the Plasma Supply Chain Operations is responsible for oversight of raw material planning topics for the plasma network. His/ Her work is focused to continuously improve the raw material business of the supply operations for the portfolio of Global Plasma Products driving >$6B in revenue annually for Takeda.

This role coordinates communication for global material forecast towards suppliers. He/ She facilitates and leads the raw material risk program and manages shortages, avoiding stock-outs and other raw material related issues in the short, medium and long-term.  

The Network Raw Material Planning Manager in the Supply Chain Operations Organization will partner with Planner-Buyers in the plasma network plants, Procurement, leaders in the Plasma OpU plants and key stakeholders from other functions to assure the raw material demand can be supplied with an appropriate risk level.


Supply Chain Raw Material Demand Aggregation and Forecasting

  • Coordinate with suppliers on a network scale on issues, forecast and demand swings
  • Make sure that risks are communicated to suppliers and material stock outs are avoided.

Supply Chain Risk and Shortage Management

  • Design, development and setup of processes and tools to identify and mitigate risks and to manage shortages
  • Provide transparency of these risks to suppliers, management and manufacturing sites
  • Generate reports
  • Oversee major risk reduction initiatives and material allocation in case of shortages with all stakeholders

Global Integration

  • Coordinate integration of global inventory standards, processes and KPI into the organization


  • Design strategic plans with clear direction on hiring strategy, employee engagement, individual development planning, effective decision making and alignment for organization design and talent management processes.
  • Interfaces with all areas of leadership to ensure aligned progress and path forward. Aligns and leverages experience across the network to develop better solutions for the Plasma OpU.
  • Ability to build a patient and customer-centered best in class organization, develop diverse talent and elevate organizational performance.
  • Builds, mentors and coaches an effective team. Must possess strong leadership, team building and management skills. Acts as a positive, resilient and collaborative leader with a ‘can do’ approach.


Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Knowledge and experience of Bio-Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Knowledge and experience of supply chain and supplier relationship management
  • Knowledge of Raw Material Risk and Shortage management as well as forecasting
  • Knowledge of Takeda strategy / business performance


  • Ability to coordinate a global supply chain organization (–Planner – Buyers in all plants)
  • Ability to lead a small team of experts
  • Ability to build a patient and customer-centered best in class organization, develop diverse talent and elevate organizational performance.
  • Ability to operate cross functionally, working with sites and GMS functions as well as suppliers.

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • DOA limits to be defined in line with new TMAP
  • A member of the plasma supply operations leadership team.


  • Day to day engagement with: Planner-Buyers in the plant, procurement, leadership in the supply operations organization


  • Unique contribution of thought, experience, background, and skills in the areas of supply chain excellence, leveraging technology to drive process excellence and  improve supply chain responsiveness


  • Managing the raw material forecast of all plasma sites assuring the supply of all Plasma products in the Takeda portfolio which generates >$6B of revenue annually.



  • Typically requires a BSc. in Engineering, Science or related field along with experience in Supply Chain, manufacturing and planning in the Biopharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical or related industry.  
  • Experience in coordinating expert teams in complex projects.
  • Experience with Multi-product manufacturing plants.
  • Experience with supplier management, raw material forecast and demand
  • Experience with raw material risk and shortage management
  • Experience in the communication and collaboration with suppliers
  • General Technical Operations/Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) experience especially in coordinating, leading and deploying raw material management projects and topics
  • Strong technical operations background and a hands-on business understanding of the Supply Chain function.  
  • Previous leadership experience with matrix cross-functional experience.
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive working relationships across senior leadership teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen.


  • MSc. in a related discipline or science, technical discipline.
