As a Rare Disease Educator, you will make an OUTSTANDING 1st IMPRESSION on the phone and in person when contacting specialist offices to educate them about the ‘signs & symptoms’ of select Rare Diseases (RD). You have a successful track record of ‘connecting’ with potential customers, passionately conveying your message (despite initial lack of interest) and engaging them in educational opportunities. Main Responsibilities: Reducing-time-to-diagnosis for Rare Disease patients Ensuring high risk Rare Disease patients are screened and/or referred to a Center of Excellence Strengthening our franchise and corporate leadership position in Rare Diseases Technical Requirements: Required: University or college degree(s) MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) experience Valid driver’s license Patient focused Excellent communication & presentation skills Team player Ability to travel Bilingual (English/French) Preferred: 1-3 years experience: Registered Nurse Public Health Genetic Counsellor Ability to successfully organize educational events Ability to work from home
