Objective / accountability

  • Technical Lead and Support of IT Projects in the Manufacturing environment at Japanese plants.
  • Actively participates in the deployment of MES at the manufacturing site by collaborating with global team and cross-functional site teams.
  • Responsible for technical integration and operation of System Interfaces within manufacturing environement such as MES, Historian, big data platform and Mfg warehouse management systems
  • Support Takeda’s digitalization strategy by further identifying, planning and coordinating improvement potentials to further gathering, processing and utilizalizing data from the manufacturing environment
  • Close collaboration with site business owners, system owners, sponsors, project managers, local and global IT, automation and engineering teams to understand, support and improve technical processes
  • Assurance and continuous alignment of a good and sustainable IT service level
  • Assurance and continuous alignment of a secure infrastructure, system and application life cycle management in the manufacturing environment
  • Ensure the adherence to GxP, global Takeda and site regulations within Site manufacturing domain
  • Coordination of external parties involved to perform change
  • Provide training for operation support and key users




MESやHistorian システム(製造情報等を蓄積するシステム)、Big data 解析のためのシステムや倉庫システムなど工場の製造実行に関わる必要システムとのインターフェース構築を行う。

工場の更なるDigital transformationに向け、改善の機会を見つけ、データを活用し、計画実行する。






Profile Requirements

  • Education (minimum/desirable): Masters’ degree in Engineering, Automation, Information Technology or related Engineering/Technical field
  • More that five (5) years of experience in the life sciences industry on large scale applications
  • Strong experience in the management and execution of technical projects
  • Good SAP and MES experience (preferrable WERUM PAS-X)
  • Ability to quickly learn MES software functionality, pharmaceutical production processes and related configuration processes
  • Sound knowledge on business & manufacturing processes in life science industry
  • Preferably Know-how in Computer System Validation (CSV), data integrity and cyber security
  • Strong communication skills and an analytical mind-set
  • Ability to collaborate with matrix and cross functional team from different business departments
  • Ability to prepare and provide project plans, presentations and templates for decision making
  • Ability to write/read in the English and busiess level of Japanese language


  • 情報システム、オートメーション、コンピュータサイエンスまたはエンジニアリングなどの類似の学位または同等の学位
  • 5年以上の製薬業界における大規模システムアプリケーションの業務経験
  • ITプロジェクトを実行管理した経験。
  • SAPやMESの経験(WERUMのPASXがあればなお可)
  • MESソフトウェアの機能や製薬製造プロセスを早期にキャッチアップし身につける能力。
  • 製薬業界における工場業務や製造業務の知識
  • コンピューターシステムバリデーション(CSV)、データインテグリティやサイバーセキュリティの知識があればなお可。
  • 製薬業界を特有の規制(GMPなど)十分に理解し、Validation/Qualificationが必要となるシステム導入をした経験
  • 優れた口頭および書面によるコミュニケーションスキル、問題解決能力と分析スキル
  • 英語は読み書きでき、日本語は流暢に話ができること
  • 利害関係者と良好な関係を構築維持し、様々な仕事の仕方や異なる文化を持つ利害関係者とコミュニケーションを通じて協力するスキル
  • プロジェクト計画を準備し、意思決定のための情報を整理し、プレゼンテーションするスキル。

Travel Requirements – Ability to travel up to 50% to the factories (Osaka and Yamaguchi prefecture) if the candidate is hired at Tokyo.
