OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) is a global function and key business partner for Takeda. We have established a global network of core hubs and delivery centres to better anticipate needs and operate in a seamless, collaborative way.

Within the TBS organization, the Global Process Champion (GPC) is part of the respective GPE team and is accountable to deliver and implement the process related vision of the GPE. The GPC acts as the first point of contact for Operational Leads and Business Partners to drive end-to-end global process excellence. He/ she defines shared process KPIs and identifies new opportunities as part of the end-to-end global process model. He/ she is responsible for process standardization (monitoring, addressing local deviations and facilitation of user change management/ training/ virtual community), documentation and functions as an SME for all process related projects/implementations, and is a key driver in optimization, automation and robotization

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for regional end-to-end process standardization, optimization, automation and robotization as defined by the GPE organization in relation to HR, tax & treasury accounting.
  • Is instrumental for the definition of process KPIs and to document the global process and local deviations, including addressing/ resolving local deviations and addressing process related issues identified in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Review HR, tax & treasury accounting CI/ IA opportunities and leverage CI Champion network on a regular basis; assess support needs/ initiatives to lead to completion as part of the overall GPO Governance Framework.
  • Report to GPE on progress on tasks assigned, challenges and opportunities identified.
  • Acts as a process SME, being the single point of contact for process related issues from Operations or Business Partners (e.g. provide the role as a process SME in the taskforce). He/she is the process SME role and leads process related implementations (e.g. process change, transition).
  • Participate in regional governance forums to support business Partners representing process perspective.
  • Responsible for the documentation of the global process and regional deviations, incl. addressing/ resolving local deviations.
  • Responsible for process related project implementation; they function as the process SME acting as Business Analyst role to gather and define requirements in a structured manner.
  • Provide regional cost and resource requirements for process optimization initiatives as budget inputs.
  • Participate, as required, in innovation initiatives to identify, evaluate, and qualify potential areas of improvement in regards to HR, tax & treasury accounting.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • 8 years of HR, tax & treasury accounting expertise/ hands-on experience gained within a large multi-national organization
  • Technically strong accounting and finance with a focus on HR, tax & treasury accounting
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in relation to ERP systems and supporting technologies
  • In depth understanding of controls and SOX compliance
  • Experience in process design and improvement
  • Experience in measuring progress through volume and outcome based KPI's

Leadership

  • Proven experience of leading project teams through change (e.g. organizational or new systems implementations)

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Required:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent), with 8 years post qualified experience.
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP or IFRS.
  • Unwavering integrity with confidence and self-awareness.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate at the highest levels of corporate management.
  • Practical experience of ERP systems.
  • In depth understanding of controls, GDPR and SOX compliance.
  • Clear thinker with ability to develop, communicate and deliver clear strategy and action plans.
  • Good understanding of continuous improvement approaches.

Preferred:

  • SAP experience
  • HFM experience
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
