Job Description

Responsibility

The FP&A Manager is primarily responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis for Takeda group.  Specific responsibilities related to the role include orchestrating the annual Mid Range Plan (MRP) and Mid-Year Commitment (MYC) for Takeda group through business analytics including market share/volume, trend analysis and market dynamics.  The role will also lead and provide planning assumption and guidance to entire FP&A team globally by partnering with various cross functional key stakeholders.

Job Duties

Lead company-wide planning process such as Mid-Range Plan (MRP), Mid-Year Commitment (MYC) by providing MRP guidance and assumptions Work closely with the regional FP&A teams to address any questions and clarification on planning matters and highlight areas requiring out-of-box solutions and/or management attentions Prepare MRP and MYC presentation slides for BRC (Business Review Committee) and BOD (Board of Directors) Analyze the financials and propose potential improvements in the planning cycle to management Develop financial data model to automate various financial model for management reviews Participate and contribute solutions in key projects like CFOInUrPocket, Global Planning Tool to achieve Finance vision Partnering with Global HR to develop and validate financial portion of both Company and Divisional KPI Support Investor Relationship (IR) team to share assumption used in MRP/MYC to formulate external guidance/forecast Various Ad-hoc financial analysis to support for management decision making and providing insights

Must be fluent in English and Japanese Analytical – ability to analyze financial and able to understand how to use this information to drive the business.  Ability to connect the dots is the key to success in this role Customer Service Orientation – ability to gain trust of high-level management and leverage relationships to provide best possible financial plans and drive impactful analytical analysis. Teamwork – ability to work effectively in and foster a team environment. Entrepreneurial – ability and desire to take ownership of activities and projects, desire to shape the organization, consistent “out of the box” thinking.

Education & Experience

Degree in Finance or equivalent minimum; MBA, CPA or equivalent preferred. At least 7 years experience in multinational companies with at least 2 years in similar role. Previous experience in healthcare industry preferred. Demonstrated experience in organizing and driving planning activities for multiple geographies. Financial planning/reporting systems experience (e.g. TM1, BI tools and Strong Excel Skill). Project management skill is a plus. Fluent in English and Japanese
