We are currently hiring for a Strategic Account Manager/ Innovative Tender Business Shaping (SAM) in Sweden (remotely).

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will provide value based Key Account Management, focusing on added value in tender shaping. You will be responsible for maximizing utilization and patient outcomes of the Takeda Tender offering (product portfolio and services) on designated customer base, drive tender stakeholder relationships; and develop and monitor long-term relationships between Takeda, and its key stakeholders. Customers in scope are hospital payers and hospital management, and tender authorities cross the region. In this role, you will utilize an Omnichannel approach, within an allocated budget, to drive and achieve business objectives. You will be working in strong cross-functional collaboration with Tender Lead, Regional Market Access, Business Lead and Business Unit Director and support the Nordic Business Unit within the specified therapeutic area.


Account Management

  • Understand the Tender Market and related environment, challenges, opportunities, and needs

  • Formulate comprehensive, robust, and insight-driven Tender business plans

  • Deliver on agreed objectives and tactics within the key business areas to drive Takeda performance

  • Ensure plans, objectives and KPIs are transparent to the whole account team and senior leaders (captured in SMILE, Veeva Engage)

  • Manage the tender business plan execution according to agreed timelines and budget. Take full responsibility for driving projects and bigger meetings within the Business Unit.

  • Conduct market surveillance and communicate in-field intelligence on customer insights, external stakeholder activities and trends to key internal stakeholders (including commercial, medical, market access, CEE)

  • Coordination with supply chain, to ensure Takeda product(s) is/are available to meet Tender requirements 

  • Operate in a manner that is always in line with compliance and legal requirements and
    according to the marketing and sales strategies.

  • Act as an ambassador of the Takeda brand, its vision, and values

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop long-term relationships between Takeda and key strategic Hospital tender groups, authorities and selected KOL´s within relevant therapeutic areas their stakeholders

  • Identify key external stakeholders and develop deep understanding of their needs, collaborating on initiatives and co-creating mutually beneficial solutions that will add value to them and the patients

  • Drive the implementation of the innovative offerings with key stakeholders and help differentiate Takeda from its competitors

  • Support and advise Healthcare professionals on the correct use of Takeda product and services portfolio

Cross-Functional Team Leadership

  • Proactively coordinate collaboration with Tender Lead, Supply chain, Legal, medical and market access (and other internal stakeholders) to ensure alignment in objectives and activities with accounts relevant for tender and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor the Tender market progress and hold collaborators, and self, accountable as agreed

  • Lead the core account team meetings and present account plans and progress at relevant
    local meetings to the management

  • Identify and address any collaboration missalignments

Operational Excellence

  • Prioritize and manage Tender opportunities by assessing appropriate business opportunities through contacts with key decision-makers (Payers, hospital management) and important Regional & local stakeholders

  • Systematically analyze success of plans (e.g., sales, market developments, competitors) and propose mitigating actions as needed. Use learning's to further improve planning and execution

  • Make changes as needed based on new business opportunities and changes in the marketplace to achieve financial objectives


  • Bachelor Degree

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a specialty care setting

  • Experience in managing customer relationships across the full spectrum of customer types in the healthcare industry.

  • Tender environment knowledge

  • Therapy and Product area knowledge

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Swedish Healthcare environment and pharmaceutical industry

  • Project Management experience

Desirable qualifications:

  • Experience with Omnichannel engagement is desirable

  • Account management experience desirable.
