Head of Patient Value and Access & Public Policy - Sweden
As the Head of Patient Value and Access & Public Policy, reporting to the General Manager, you will head a team that includes Regional and National Access, Patient Advocacy, Pricing, and Tender Management and Public Policy professionals. You will be a member of and key contributor to the Swedish Leadership Team.
Create and drive a high-performing PVA & Public Policy function by fostering innovation, customer focus, personal accountability, business acumen, and a commitment to success
Secure fast, broad, and sustainable access for Takeda´s medicines in Sweden.
Ensure leading position in collaboration with relevant PAGs.
Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical, and compliance requirements, corporate policies, and procedures, and drive culture in the local organization.
Lead collaboration with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders with clear and open communication in order to strengthen Takeda’s footprint in Sweden as forerunner of innovative value-based solutions to secure sustainable healthcare into the future
Co-create and lead public policy strategy and communication activities
Lead, develop and implement market access strategy for products to obtain and maintain optimal access and pricing outcomes (including pricing & reimbursement dossiers, negotiations with authorities).
Lead and co-create evidence generation plans and initiatives (Real-World-Evidence studies included) and further communicate value of our medicines effectively on scientific platforms e.g. publications, abstracts/posters (ISPOR, market access/therapy area related peer-review publications etc.).
Act as a professional ambassador for Takeda, building pro-actively strategic relationships with the payer/stakeholder community at the national/regional level, collaborate and form partnerships to influence effectively and secure patient access with given strategy throughout product life cycle.
Lead the PVA-Team and work with cross-functional teams to develop, initiate, and execute effective contract strategies, analysis, negotiation, and pricing tools and strategies for all current and future products.
Develop PVA-Team and organizations' capabilities to meet current and future needs of the stakeholders, taking care of developing team members (payer needs, RWE, negotiation skills, communications, patient advocacy needs etc).
Dimensions and aspects
Influential communication skills to drive Takedas positioning with strong strategical and tactical capabilities and understanding of healthcare environment and incentives behind stakeholders' decisions
Strong technical and strategical understanding of market access issues, with hands-on experience in country or consultancy, and demonstrable track record
Intimate knowledge of legal framework for pharmaceutical industry and code of conduct
Technical understanding of clinical and health economic data (including RWD)
Strong technical understanding of design issues regarding RWD gathering, studies and problem formulating market access perspective, with hands-on experience of RWD projects
Degree in Life Science, Business Management, Political Science or related field
Minimum of 5 years' of hands-on experience in market access/external affairs within innovative bio-pharmaceutical industry (part of experience may include time in relevant consulting, HTA agency and/or direct payer or ministerial experience)
