We are currently hiring for a Financial Controller in full-time in Stockholm, Sweden.
Reporting to the Head of Finance in Sweden and working in close collaboration with our Finance Business Partners, the Nordics Finance team and Takeda Business Services, you’ll play a key role in ensuring high quality financial accounting, and a robust control framework. The role is split 60% working with the Takeda Sweden business, and 40% working with the wider Takeda Nordic organization.
Your tasks in detail:
Tasks related to Sweden (60% of working time)
Ensure high quality financial information during month-end closing, including variance analysis and where required Balance Sheet reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with financial and local requirements, ensure robust system of Internal Controls and Risk Management is in place.
Point-of-contact and lead discussions with external auditors and support internal audit reviews, accountable for external audit outcomes.
Point-of-contact and ensure smooth work collaboration with Takeda Business Services (“TBS”, Takeda’s Shared Services Centre) across various Finance processes. Drive high service level and quality delivered by TBS.
Subject Matter Expert for Finance & Procurement systems, supporting others in Sweden commercial entity.
Local point of contact for tax related queries & local expert on payroll accounting
Tasks related to the Regional Nordics (40% of working time)
Countries in scope: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland
Controls: ensure SOX and Internal Controls compliance for Finance, with framework in place and applied, including self-assessment, segregation of duties etc.
Transfer Pricing: working with TBS to ensure accurate transfer pricing bookings.
University Degree in Business/Finance.
Finance qualification (ACA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA)
Controlling experience either utilizing IFRS or US-GAAP.
A minimum of 1-2 years, post-qualification, working experience in role with similar complexity.
Experience working in a dynamic and multinational environment is an advantage.
Well versed in SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel) and larger databases
Business fluency in English
Experience in process improvements and change management is an advantage
Experience working with outsourced accounting function in a shared service center an advantage
Business fluency in Swedish
