Job Description

As a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, you play a key role in ensuring that every step in the logistics of shipping, storing, and receiving inventory flows in the most efficient manner. Key facets of the role include:

  • Overall:

    • Scheduling load and unload times between trailers and warehouse management systems

    • Resolving any discrepancies in shipments, inventory, and warehouse management systems

    • Receiving and managing shipments

    • Preparing documentation and managing physical assignments daily

    • Notifying logistics departments of equipment shortages or other related issues

    • Completing Bill of Lading documents, packing lists, seal assignments, and bar code assignments for each order

    • Cross-training and assisting with backup clerks when necessary

    • Process, stage, and put away inbound freight

    • Replenishing materials needed for all manufacturing areas

    • Acting as a leader to enhance the performance of the department and take charge in the absence of the supervisor

  • Plasma Operations:

    • Managing the Automated and Manual Disposition of plasma units based on teardown schedules

    • Assisting the Staging of Disposition plasma to be delivered to production

    • Segregating questionable plasma units found in any area of the +5°C area and -20°C area and process as “On Hold” or “Quarantine” status

    • Supporting all local Manufacturing Plasma Operations

    • Continuously update training records with latest material


  • Work in controlled environments requiring special gowning

  • Work in a cold-weather environment

  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends and overtime as required

  • Work independently without direct supervision

  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet-jacks

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams

  • Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain in GMP fashion

  • Participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable

  • Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines and operate in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and MSDS

  • Complies with SOPs, GMPs, safety rules and regulations, and departmental procedures

Education, Competencies and Skills:

  • High School Diploma and 2+ years of related experience

  • Proficient in warehouse management systems and pc environments

  • Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong interpersonal and organization skills
