As a Global Manufacturing IT Digital Product Lead, you will be a key player transforming the way various teams work with data across all production sites of the Global Manufacturing and Supply Organization. With this you will help to improve our product quality and reducing loss while increasing efficiency which has a direct impact on our ability to serve our patients with vital products.


  • Manages the relationship between Business Leadership and IT as well as the various local IT project portfolios in the region (demand management).
  • Understand the manufacturing and related business processes to define necessary IT systems, opportunities for digital products and related deployment strategies.
  • Implements the Global IT Strategy aligned with the regional business requirements, needed agility and in accordance to Global IS/IT procedures & standards.
  • Manages functional IT budget in an effective and efficient way, to ensure operational continuity and IT objectives are met.
  • Oversee and guide efforts of Advanced Analytics in a GxP environment from an IT perspective in all US GMS sites and for our collaboration with CMO’s.
  • Manages and influences technical existing and new computer science platforms to design, to analyze and implement complex and new data driven solutions, with an impact on GxP Manufacturing


  • Leads investigations and analysis of Business operational needs, problems and opportunities, by providing recommendations of improvements within the IS/IT Business Partner community.
  • Leads productive and ongoing exchanges of information between the assigned location, IT service delivery and demand management.
  • Manages the delivery of changes and IT Projects.
  • Ensures the alignment between Global IS/IT and Business Strategy regarding operational plans and projects impacting the Region.
  • Manages and influences the data architecture of the global manufacturing organization, provides access to different data analytics technologies and guides business partners within the IT landscape.
  • Direct and indirect leadership of employees, vendors, consultants and/or contractors to deliver solutions associated within their area of responsibility.
  • Provide career path planning / coaching to employees.
  • Conducts and facilitate analytical assessment conceptualizing business needs and translate them into digital opportunities.
  • Identifies data requirements and influences the design and implementation of the IS/IT data strategy.
  • Ensures execution and documentation to Takeda Quality Management System (QMS), suggest adjustments to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and other standards, policies and procedures.
  • Work independently on tough problems with other team members and independently solve, with little guidance in only most difficult problems.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on modern data technologies, explores new platforms and beta tooling.
  • Represent the team while working on project across GMS GQ and R&D. Is internal and external expert to-go-to in how to implement Enterprise Data Analytics platforms and Digital Solutions
  • Influences and maintains relationships with partner organizations in support of data analysis, modelling and deployment.


  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or Biotechnology, Biotechnical Engineering.
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Ability to write, speak and lead in the English language
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, business acumen and excels in problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Have a good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and experience with validated systems.
  • Business relationship management skills; ability to connect and engage with local management and stakeholders on areas of expertise.
  • Up-to-date specialized knowledge of data wrangling, manipulation and management of technologies to affect change across business units.
  • Ability to work in an agile and rapid changing environment with high quality deliverables.
  • Ability to set priorities, align stakeholder expectations, to develop and execute an associated action plan.
  • Work with virtual teams located in different countries around the world, aligning and adapting different work, culture and communication styles.
  • Team player with some experience leading and collaborating cross- functionally to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Project management experience advantage focus in IT Agile (SCRUM) and Waterfall
  • Financial Management for IT Services skills.
  • Experience using Cloud environments.
  • Architectural understanding of Horizontally Scalable solutions.
  • Experience in SDLC
  • Experience in Computer Systems Validation GAMP
