  • Drives the automated deployment of infrastructure and software from development to production.
  • Demonstrates innovative methods of declaritively automating cloud based IaaS/PaaS deployments and applications using modern and innovative GitOps and DevOps techniques and technologies.
  • Develop complex, automated, repeatable and reusable deployments.
  • Demonstrate highest standards of consumer-obsessed service delivery in all code produced using an agile approach to realize business outcomes
  • Maintain interlock with other Takeda teams, to ensuring quality of service, compliance, security, and business continuity.

  • Serve as the Cloud Platform Engineer during development, deployment and support of infrastructure and applications to the Takeda Enterprise Cloud.
  • Uses engineering, operational, and business experience to develop innovative, efficient, secure and reusable deployment techniques.
  • Influences lifecycle decisions of components and transitions to next generation technologies against product portfolio’s long-term goals.
  • Influence the existing complex landscape of solutions by innovating, redefining, and refining designs, propose and execute solutions to identified highly complex problems in data or process driven agile approaches.
  • Designs/builds/deploys complex system and products to deliver value to our pipeline while ensuring we have a forward-looking technology base, continuously managing shortchange cycles to drive to our future state strategy.
  • Work independently and collectively to solve difficult technology problems.

  • Development of software, frameworks, scripts, and templates to automate infrastructure/software deployment, monitoring and configuration. Ongoing management and maintenance of the automation infrastructure and code.
  • Experience in declarative automation, advanced knowledge and implementation of modern IaC tooling, including Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform.
  • In depth knowledge and experience leveraging containerized and serverless technologies, API integration, Microservices, DevOps, GitOps, CI, Automated Testing, Cloud Infrastructure, Scripting and Program languages.
  • Drives devlopment, ensuring security, integrity and alignment, applying modern/innovative deployment and security techniques, included proper key management, encryption.
  • Build automation for application deployment and orchestration against VMs, Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:(List the essential and desirable education and competency requirements to perform the primary responsibilities of the job.  Any minimum requirements should be noted.)


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in hands-on cloud engineer work specifically in AWS.
  • Production experiance writing Python, BASH, PowerShell required.
  • Experience with container Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Fargate, etc.) and building cloud automation (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Exposure to serverless computing in a cloud environment.
  • Working Knowledge of GIT, DevOps, and CI/CD technologies.
  • AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer or Developer certification.
  • Ability to work in an agile and rapid changing environment with high quality deliverables.
