Sustainability Lead

Your role:

The purpose of the job is to lead Takeda Neuchatel to become carbon neutral in its operations by eliminating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2040 and to champion initiatives to reduce water usage and waste creation. It requires very close cooperation and partnership with the engineering teams.

Deliver environmental and sustainability programs including air emissions, waste water, pollution prevention and hazardous waste management.

Oversee completion of required environmental reports.

Establish indicators to measure energy, water and waste performance.

Identify opportunities and solutions to reduce energy and water consumption and sponsor the projects to achieve these reductions.

Lead the environment committee.

Represent the site on internal and external forums on sustainabililty and energy effiency subjects.

Interface with the Swiss Energy Agency (AEnEC) to ensure energy efficiency goals are met and CO2 tax is recovered.

Critical / Key skills:

Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.

Experience in similar position.

Knowledge of energy production and distribution in an industrial setting.

Languages:

French is the working language on the site.

English is required for communication with Corporate EHS and other sites.

Passionate about environmental sustainability and committed to make the change he/she wishes to see in the world.

Committed to achieve superior environmental performance towards a sustainable future.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Entrepreneurial spirit to convince others and overcome barriers to progress the sustainability goals.
