We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our finance team based in Milan. This role is for maternity cover offering serious prospects of permanent employment afterwards based on performance.
Ideal candidates for this role will be ambitious, have a strong sense of ownership and and be ready to take new challenges almost daily. Some travel will be required and even relocation could be considered in the long term for the right candidates.
Previous experience as a Finance Analyst and general ledger will prova an advantage, as well as knowledge of SOX and SAP.
Main Purpose of the role:
The primary job role is to support the accounting/controlling department to ensure the completeness of the service in terms of accountancy, financial reporting, administration and contract management
To support the financial statements preparation in accordance with USGAAP/ Local GAAP and to ensure compliance with taxation law.
The job holder is also expected to provide support to management accounting function,
50 % Accounting/Preparation of monthly accounts
Open accounts, the assets, the accruals, the prepaid expenses and all other bookings related to the preparation of the monthly accounts are accurately accounted for
All control account reconciliations are performed / reviewed
Accurate reconciliation and coding of the inter-company accounts
25 % External Reporting/Preparation of annual accounts: to support the organization, coding and booking of the annual accounts. To support the preparation of according documents for the auditors and resolution of auditor queries.
25 % Accounting
Ensures that all balance sheet reconciliations are performed bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations.
Responsible for all aspects of the Accounts Payable process
Responsible for the Accounts Receivable sub-ledger
Education & Experience Requirements
Experience in financial accounting with a minimum of 3 years
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Fluent in English
Experience in IS-Systems (SAP- windows-office- Oracle)
Experience in Controlling and data analysis
Experience within international companies
Have ability to work independently
