OBJECTIVES

The candidate will support the Head of Oncology IBERIA and take the lead to scope broad issues, set clear targets and milestones for the IBERIA Oncology Team, run business planning processes, conduct key insights/market research projects in partnership with the brand teams, lead forecasting process in partnership with Global / EUCAN / IBERIA teams, and design / lead necessary organisational / operational changes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Operations

  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of cross-brand programs within the franchise
  • Lead the continuous optimization of commercial infrastructure and resources
  • Translate strategies, programs and initiatives into implementable plans. 
  • Partner with the Head of IBERIA Oncology in ensuring quality in company-wide communications and presentations
  • Ensure and coordinate timely and high-quality input in cross-functional, regional and global meetings & projects
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration through aligned objectives and shared implementation plans.  Implement processes and systems to enable collaboration with functional areas
  • Identify cross-brand, organitional, and operational issues, and drive discussions and solutions connecting various stakeholders across Oncology BU and Global/EUCAN Team
  • Develop KPIs, roadmap/milestones, and implementation guidelines to manage risks / issues of on-going and new initiatives

Forecasting

  • Collaborate with Global Forecasting and Analytics team, and provide IBERIA OBU with necessary technical support (e.g. modeling, analysis tools, etc.) to ensure consistent and efficient financial forecasting process (i.e. MRP-LRF, MYC, LBE)
  • Identify market research needs, and align with brand teams to establish an integrated plan with clear roles and responsibility on market research activities
  • Conduct country-specific market sizing, landscape, competitive intelligence, insights, benchmarking and more detailed ATU analyses
  • Ensure that customized, strategic forecasts are developed by interpreting and translating market research output into forecasting assumptions and gain alignment for assumption from key stakeholders (e.g. global teams, finance business partners)

Analytics

  • Conduct cross-brand analysis to provide Oncology Head with overview of Oncology and insights to help drive business decisions, ranging from operations, uptake trends, resourcing and future business development activities
  • Proactively share experiences / expertise and collaborate on multi-regional / global initiatives with relevant groups / stakeholders within EUCAN BU / Oncology BU
  • Lead development, compilation, maintenance and enhancement of oncology franchise and brand performance tracking reports (e.g. market maps, product audit reports, trending and trending studies, etc.), to support achieving financial targets, KPIs and ambition targets across
  • Work closely with EUCAN Launch Excellence Lead to design and track launch KPIs
  • Enhance analytics acitivities by identifying, developing and integrating new data sources
  • Acts as subject matter expert on the appropriateness of varying data sets for differing bodies of work

Capability building

  • Build organizational capabilities to support analyses
  • Evaluate organization on an ongoing basis to identify gaps and facilitate impact

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • MS/BS in science or business required; Advanced degree a plus
  • Commercially astute, proactive and self-starter with 7+ years of commercial/strategy and/or project management experience, market research, forecasting, preferably in a global pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, creativity and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Experience in leading sales/marketing teams/organizations would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated success and outcomes in complex matrix organization, leading teams across functions, and cultures, at all levels where the incumbent may not have direct authority
  • Proven stakeholder management and engagement at all levels of the organization 
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in Spanish and English; fluency in Portuguese would be an advantage
