Join us as a Medical Manager in our Oncology Business Unit based from our UK offices in London Paddington.
As a Medical Manager supporting the Oncology Business Unit, you will be the primary medical lead for the lung cancer team providing high quality scientific, clinical and ABPI Code of Practice support for office based brand team activities and field based medical and commercial teams in order to support the UK business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Affairs professional (GMC registered Medic or Pharmacist) to join the team as they prepare for launch of a new indication in 2020.
You will be leading on a variety of key medical projects pertinent to the brand team including clinical studies, medically led advisory boards, conference activities, and responding to intercompany communications. You will be working closely to develop relations with key opinion leaders, other health care professionals and patient organisations as well as acting as lead medical representative at a European/Regional level.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate superior communication skills, capable of developing a strong network of relationships with national/international KOL’s, being the medical expert within the therapy area and ensuring the correct implementation and communication of scientific data on Takeda products.

Further skills and experience required for the role:
- GMC registered doctor or UK registered pharmacist
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a medical affairs function in the pharmaceutical industry, with an in depth understanding of the NHS.
- Oncology therapy area experience preferable
- Detailed knowledge of the ABPI/ other relevant codes of practice e.g. IPHA
- A good understanding of clinical development and clinical study design
- Experience of leading projects within a cross functional environment.
