Primary Role

Reporting to the Head of Learning, this position is responsible for managing oversight of the progress of the Learning and Human Performance program elements. Scope includes management of Training SOPs, Guidance and Forms, program materials, planning and co-ordination of key learning interventions (e.g. TTT, Facilitator certifications etc.), design and maintenance of Training KPIS, maturity assessment tools and analytics and management of Learning assets.  Leading a small team, the Learning Program Office Lead will also assure that the necessary tools and processes are in place, current and effective in supporting the delivery of the Learning Organization strategy in support of our Supply Value proposition. 


25%: Management of Learning Portfolio assets, including translations (note budget impact); working closely with Learning Technologies team on Knowledge Management and communications

20%: Establish and coordinate a learning system assessment process to determine site and center function learning organization maturity and rollup resultant data analytics to include

  • Learning systems maturity assessments,
  • Learning system analytics and reporting (including Training KPIs, industry and Regulatory trends)
  • Human performance Model maturity assessments and associated analytics

15%: Lead the Learning Community of Practice (LCoP) forum to enable best practice sharing, growth and development for our Tech Ops learning practitioners

10%: Coach direct reports on all aspects of the Learning Organization program supports, building skills and competencies to deliver improvements to Takeda Tech Ops. 

10%: Manage global certification standards and metrics.  

10%: Marketing and branding in support of the Learning Organization

10%: Establish and maintain, in collaboration with LO leads, global standards for a robust compliant & efficient global learning system (SOPs, Guidance and Forms)

Education & Experience Requirements

  • BS in Science or Engineering discipline required, 10 - 15 years of experience in biopharmaceutical environment.  Training qualification (Certificate or Diploma level preferred), with experience in managing a training function. Statistics background desirable.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in training and development and instructional design. Robust knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory compliance needed.  Experience in global biotech / pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.

Other Requirements

Some travel (domestic and international) required.
