As the IT Application Manager, you will have overall responsibility for delivering site needs for Global IT systems at Massachusetts Biologics Operations (MABioOps).  IT Applications Manager will primarily partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Excellence, and Quality departments at MABioOps.  In collaboration with Global IT and MABioOps business teams, IT Applications Manager will deliver prioritized IT programs and projects:

  • Manufacturing Execution System (MES) discovery and implementation
  • SAP ERP (PPPI, MM/WM, and Quality Management modules)
  • System Integration of site, global, and cloud applications
  • Data analytics to improve site operational metrics and process efficiency

As the IT Applications Manager, you will be responsible for successful planning and delivery of these efforts and manage across the various stakeholders/customers, setting out a short to mid-term program/project execution roadmap to establish release cadence, phasing of scope, and realistic deliverables. IT Applications Manager must demonstrate core program and project management competencies, including communication, strategic alignment, resource estimates and ensure team cohesion.

A typical day will include:

  • Driving the discovery and planning phases to assess the business needs and the key motivations to implement systems and deliver a business case – business problem, solution options, resources, timelines, and budget
  • Leading system implementation projects to ensure it meets scope, quality, timelines, and budget constraints
  • Ensuring the project team follows Takeda’s SDLC and CSV methodology and compliance standards for project deliverables – Requirements, Design & Development, Validation, SOPs, and Training
  • Participating in the development of MABioOps Technology Roadmap by gathering business needs, priorities, software/hardware, services cost estimates, and timelines
  • Leading change management workshops, business process improvement analysis, implementation monitoring, and benefits realization analysis
  • Be the IT systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to resolve complex technical issues required to support 24/7 manufacturing operations
  • Effectively presenting to all levels of the organization
  • Navigating complex, global matrix organization
  • Depending on the assignment, working independently or participating as a team member. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in both situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related study
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology systems – plan, build, or run positions
  • Direct experience with Werum PAS-X MES

    Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with SAP ERP, Qlik Sense, Microsoft Azure or similar data analytics tools, and system integration platforms
  • Experience in business partnering, project management, and operational excellence
  • Experience with IT systems implementation, preferably in a GxP compliant biologics manufacturing industry
