Job Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create and own E&C learning and engagement strategy within USBU
  • Enhance and drive awareness for senior leadership on employee adherence to training and engagement initiatives
  • Oversee the creation of training dashboards and metrics for executive and general management review to illustrate adherence to training obligations
  • Transform the E&C learning process from a traditional approach (E.g. – read & attest) to a blend of awareness and traditional learning programs levering the Takeda RITE learning model
  • Forward-thinking leader who anticipates the impact that changing regulations and public debate on topics of ethics will have on the business
  • Be an expert and resource in leveraging a variety of instructional techniques and formats (e.g., e-learning courses, teleconference/WebEx trainings, PowerPoint presentations) to ensure best learning outcome
  • Lead US Business Unit-wide non-GxP program management and governance process for learning/training and control documents (E.g. - policies & procesures).
  • Create, deploy, and oversee tracking  relevant USBU and site training courses. Develop and distribute reporting dashboards.
  • Drive E&C program initiatives through collaboration with other USBU functions on awareness and communications needs and sharing best practices
  • Partner with global E&C Learning & Engagement team in designing forward looking learning strategies
  • Co-create learning & engagement solutions with other E&C teams ensuring a values based approach in our interactions with the business
  • Lead the collaboration with Global E&C on the creation, review, update of Global Policies and Procedures
  • Own and manage the USBU approach for governance, storing, accessing, and updating USBU Non-GxP Policies.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 12 years experience
  • Minimum 5 years of ethics & compliance or learning and development experience in the US healthcare or pharmaceutical industry;
  • Proven track record in implementing innovative learning and development programs
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and processes 
  • Understanding of state and federal health care laws/regulations
  • Experience working in a global organization preferred

  • Strong influencing skills and ability to negotiate in a matrix environment to optimize development and address barriers
  • Proven strategic problem-solving ability including driving to appropriate solutions

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong business background and excellent commercial understanding is essential.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (Add any information legally required for your country here)

  • Must be able to work at computer for several hours at a time
  • May travel ~10% of time, primarily within US
