Launch Readiness and Partner Liaison Lead

Report to : Head of Business Operations

Location based : Jakarta


  • To create and implement the product launch strategy, which aligns to the APAC / GEM region's strategy and must be linked to the core objectives of the business.
  • To manage and take care communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders in order to drive the CSMO partner achieving the agreed target

Activities and Responsibilities

Job Summary

Launch Readiness Lead:

  • To support the capability building to improve the launch preparations in our Local Operating Company (LOC), support Brand Lead / Product Manager or Business owner to develop innovative solutions for launch challenges in order to maximize the value of Takeda’s brands.
  • Responsible to ensure LOC follow the globally consistent launch framework and process for Indonesia launch planning and execution to maximize the potential of our innovative product launches
  • Providing strategic input to the business owner for product launch and life cycle management directions, aligned with area/regional product launch plans
  • Working closely with the Digital Lead  to drive Takeda digital strategy and initiatives.
  • Support LOC’s strategic projects in planning, execution and tracking the product launch
  • Take a lead and ensure that all relevant cross-functions will take their part for timely successful product launch

Partner Liaison Lead:

  • Proposing the third party partner to promote our product and follow up the engagement
  • Act as the primary liaison between Takeda and the appointed partner
  • Establish a standard way of working between Takeda and the partner
  • Responsible to the successful commercial business which is run by appointed partner
  • Close coordination with relevant stakeholders to anticipate and mitigate any potential risks
  • Manage end-to-end business which relates to the product being promoted by appointed partner


  • Ensure understanding of all stakeholders through advanced research techniques and derive key insights for launch, build cross-functional market understanding to educate on integrated strategy that aligns with Takeda’s vision
  • Identify and promote best practice sharing and multifunctional collaboration across functional leaders
  • Support Brand Lead / Product Manager or Business owner to implement and use of “Takeda” Country Launch Readiness Framework approach to accelerate our LOC launch planning & execution
  • Lead the diagnosis of readiness gaps early, facilitate process and ensure LOC align to global/GEM launch plan / brand strategy. Initiation of Launch Activation Workshops (LAWs)
  • Ensure collaboration with other LOCs in APAC area or GEM region, ensure best practice sharing and transfer of launch excellence knowledge / capabilities across the region
  • Lead strategic projects on ad hoc basis
  • Search and engage potential partners to promote our non-core products, in alignment with APAC / GEM regional business strategy
  • As the main point of contact to communicate, coordinate, drive, and support appointed partner
  • Manage and monitor the sales and marketing activities of appointed partner, drive them to reach the target as well as keep ethics and compliance to be followed as Takeda standard
  • Lead routine operational meeting with appointed partner to review performance, KPIs, promotional activities, budgeting and planning, Pharmacovigilance, and other operation related matters
  • Ensure supply and distribution of the products are on track. Do mitigation actions shall there be potential risk of the supply and distribution
  • Always up to date on the Global or Regional Business strategy to anticipate the immediate change


Required Education and Experience

  • University degree in life sciences, business or related areas; advanced/post-graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' professional experience with at least 2 years of commercial / marketing experience in driving product launches
