Job Description

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and support your career? If so, be empowered to take charge of your future at Takeda. Join us as a Pharmacovigilance Officer in our UK office, Wooburn Green, Buckinghamshire.

As a PV Officer supporting the Global Patient Safety Evaluation Team, reporting to the Drug Safety Lead, this is a great opportunity for candidates with limited PV experience to build their knowledge and capabilities as an integral member of a highly experienced PV team. 

The successful candidate will contribute to the successful compliant patient safety data processing activities of Takeda UK and Ireland, providing vital support to the medical team. Key responsibilities will include the capture and processing of Adverse Event/safety and Product Complaint data to meet regulatory and Company requirements, including case processing and requests for follow up information.

Candidates will need to be very well organised in order to support a range of drug safety activities including scanning and archiving, administration, performing monthly reconciliations and monitoring/actioning emails received into the PV inbox. 

Takeda embrace continuous improvement and we are seeking candidates who can contribute to the continuous improvement of PV processes and working practices in line with regulatory requirements and business needs.

Other skills required include:

  • Degree educated, preferably in Pharmacy or science.
  • Administrative experience preferably gained in a pharmacovigilance or a related discipline in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a high work ethic.
  • Team orientated, able to support cross functional teams.
  • Competent user of Excel and databases.
  • Well organised and able to work under pressure.
  • Good verbal and written communication.

This role will be initially offered on a 1-year Fixed Term Contract.
