T-CiRA Discovery organizes T-CiRA, a 10-year joint research program by Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University, and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited. With the uniqueness of that academic researchers work at Takeda’s laboratories together with its industrial researchers, T-CiRA aims to realize cutting-edge iPSC applications such as cell therapies, drug discoveries, and platform technologies to cure rare, intractable diseases that currently have no established effective treatments.

T-CiRA Discoveryは、京都大学iPS細胞研究所(CiRA)と武田薬品工業株式会社による10年間の共同研究プログラム「T-CiRA」を主催しています。T-CiRAは、アカデミアの研究者が武田薬品工業の研究所で企業の研究者と共同研究を行うというユニークな特徴を持ち、現在有効な治療法が確立されていない希少難治性疾患の治療に向けて、細胞治療、創薬、プラットフォーム技術など、最先端のiPS細胞技術の応用を実現することを目指しています。


In T-CiRA programs, we are working on a new research platform with human iPSC-derived neural crest cells and its applications for cell therapy and regenerative medicine.Neural crest cells (NCCs) are temporary existing, an embryonic migratory cell population with stem cell characters.  They can differentiate into a wide variety of cell types, such as mesenchymal stem cells, enteric neurons, and glial cells.  We have generated the NCC derived from iPSCs and established novel culture methods for NCC with multipotency and self-renewal. These technology made it possible to research on NCC broadly, and we could generated enteric neural progenitors (iENP) and peripheral neurons from NCCs. Now, we are working on GI and neuroscience fields to apply NCC-derived iENP and peripheral neurons to cell therapy and drug discovery.

  • Master degree, phD preferred
  • 理系大学修士卒以上、博士が好ましい


  • Experience in in vivo experiments, histochemical analysis and in vitro (ex vivo) functional analyses.
  • Experience to conduct cell culture and cell differentiation, favorably iPS cells and ES cells.

  • 動物実験、組織科学的解析およびin vitro/ex vivoでの機能的解析に対する経験
  • 細胞培養や細胞分化の経験(好ましくはiPS細胞やES細胞を培養し、FACSを使用した経験)


  • Knowledge and skills on in vitro/vivo researches such as biochemical analysis,  and pharmacological assays.
