Job Description

Are you a strategic HR executive with proven experience leading cross-cultural teams? Do you want to build next-gen people solutions while contributing to a greater purpose? As Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) continues its transformation journey, we are hiring a Center of Excellence & Innovation Support Lead in our People Solutions organization.

Here, you will partner with stakeholders around the world to achieve our inspiring vision to build and deliver simplified and innovative solutions by unlocking the value of People Solutions for our global business. This, in turn, empowers Takeda’s unwavering commitment to patients.


This is a new leadership position within the People Solutions function—a dynamic, newly-created team within Takeda Business Solutions. In this vital role, you will develop the strategic direction for a modern TBS People Solutions function, including staffing, organizational structure, team objectives and scope, and ways of working. Reporting to the Global Head of People Solutions, you will be a trusted partner and empowering leader.


  • LEADERSHIP: Establishing and leading a diverse, global team of up to 40 direct and indirect reports, and instilling a continuous improvement mindset
  • LEADERSHIP: Building high-performing, cross-cultural teams and career paths for exceptional HR professionals
  • STRATEGY: Developing and implementing strategic programs and solutions within Total Rewards, Global Mobility, Learning and Talent Management, and Employee and Labor Relations that align to the TBS three-year vision
  • PARTNERSHIP: Collaborating with the Regional Business Partners, IT, Customer Solutions, People Solutions, and TBS leaders on the proactive delivery of innovative, global HR solutions and capabilities that drive consistency, improvement, efficiency, and optimization, while creating a best-in-class experience for our employees
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Identifying new opportunities to expand the COE’s scope of solutions


  • At least 10 years of HR operations experience
  • Proven abilities to: build trusted partnerships, motivate and develop high-performing teams, and lead others through change and ambiguity while communicating effectively across business levels, regions, and cultures 
  • Skilled in ERP systems, Learning and Talent Management systems, and Total Rewards plan administration
  • Understanding of legal environment, laws impacting employment, controls, and SOX compliance
  • Experience in process design, continuous improvement, and outcome-based KPIs
  • Up to 10% global travel


  • PHR, SPHR, or GPHR
  • Experience working in a global business services environment
  • Experience in HR Management, Talent Management, or Learning and Development
  • Experience using Workday or other HCM cloud systems
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
