OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) is a newly formed function within Takeda with the objective of enabling Takeda’s business strategy, delivering simplification and cost reduction, improving service and providing a transformation engine for continuous improvement for Takeda. ‘Building and Delivering Simplified and Innovative Solutions’ is our overarching vision with Patients at the center of all that we do.

TBS Business Partner will be accountable for developing trusting relationships with the Business Units in the Geography/designated business unit, current and future TBS internal business customers.  Will include leading TBS solutions in the geography/designated business unit (customer).  As the senior level contact interface with the finance function, will acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements and will be responsible for ensuring the business units goals and strategy, are met and accounted for in TBS’s strategies, plans and activities, through effective and efficient solution delivery.  Also accountable for targeted scope expansion, by proposing solutions that meet customer current and future objectives.

Key objectives include:

  • Establish an effective stakeholder management strategy for TBS, providing leadership to the Customer on solutions.  Develops trusting relationships with the Local Finance leadership acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, to deliver on their strategy.
  • Find opportunities and optimizations to improve TBS Business Partner Services.
  • Provide leadership on the TBS Strategy aligned with the Customers’ Business Requirements.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and handle escalations to maintain trust and improve the reputation of TBS and the supported business unit.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides TBS leadership, implements and communicates to the Customer TBS strategy and operating plans that impact the region.
  • Provides input to and influences the development of the TBS Strategy through the Regional Finance Leadership, to implement process and technological improvements, that can provide business value to Takeda.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of how the Customer’s Function works and contributes to and acts as an extension of the local Finance Leadership team.
  • Utilizes TBS business partnering methodology to provide regular status reports and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders, to drive and execute organizational and performance improvements.
  • Challenges existing best practices, interprets and communicate insights and drives and leads the development of business cases to support, improve and/or transform business and TBS solutions, processes and strategies.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction with the service lines provided by TBS are maintained at agreed and acceptable levels by delivering on TBS commitments, to provide the correct solutions and services in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Single Point of Contact for the Customer in the event of escalations, ensuring issues are investigated and addressed proactively so that customer satisfaction is maintained, and financial and strategic targets achieved. 
  • Expands the relationship by engaging with the business on new opportunities and provide appropriate solutions that build the TBS footprint whilst providing enterprise value.
  • Collaborates to co-create innovative solutions for driving the change within TBS and the Business, providing business guidance and support to the transformation activities.
  • Aligns between TBS or relevant project workstreams impacting the Area and enabling effective execution of projects.
  • Facilitates compliance with SOX and other corporate policies.
  • Acts as the face of TBS to the wider business/finance community, managing relationships with other functional and TBS pillars, jointly ensuring a positive business relationship.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Desirable:  Master’s in Business Administration.
  • Required:  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proven experience as a business partner.
  • Strong functional and cross functional knowledge of TBS portfolio of offerings, in a global organisation.
  • Customer Centric and Solutions Orientated aptitude with demonstrable experience in providing solutions based on customer needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with evident relationship building with professionals of all organizational levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven success in a highly matrixed, fast paced and challenging business environment.
  • Ability to lead effectively and work concurrently across multiple priorities in a goal-oriented timeline-driven, and dynamic work environment, with quality and accuracy.
  • Enterprise mindset with proven skills in problem-solving and negotiation.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Desirable:  Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent), with 5 years post qualified experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Flexibility in working hours due to global nature and demands of the role and organisation.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 20% Travel.
