As a Supplier Enablement Specialist working on the TBS Support Solutions team, you will be empowered to provide expertise and support in the broad Source-to-Pay process. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by enabling simple and compliant solutions globally.  To enable the vision of delivering meaningful solutions beyond services, this team will be responsible for creating a common and best-in-class customer experience across TBS through technology and a customer-centric culture.

  • Primary responsibilities supporting the Takeda Business departments
  • Responsible for coordinating supplier enablement work stream (Supplier Management, Suppliers Enablement) that consists of external team members.
  • Primary liaison between Customer and Suppliers. Provide clear communication to suppliers.
  • Help to Manage supplier compliance and escalation process for non-compliance
  • Prepare analysis and indicate potential direct suppliers for enablement.
  • Responsible for TBS Suppliers Enablement process execution and onboarding approach.
  • Organize and execute suppliers’ socialization sessions as well as to deliver proper communication documents based on the agreed TBS Supplier Enablement approach
  • The role requires participation in Ariba Functional Training and Summit sessions and providing supplier contact data as well as managing supplier escalations.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all direct suppliers during the Ariba onboarding process.


  • Responsible for TBS Suppliers Enablement process execution and onboarding approach.
  • The role requires participation in Ariba Functional Training: Train suppliers on new processes, how to log on and set up noticiations and how to submit invoices in Ariba Network
  • Assist in troubleshooting Ariba process and system issues.
  • Attend Supplier Summit (Ariba Training) sessions with participation on answering questions
  • Act as a single point of contact for all direct suppliers during the Ariba onboarding process.
  • Providing supplier contact data as well as managing supplier escalations, run regular calls with local procurements representatives and Ariba Supplier Enablement Lead (while onboarding, if vendor has not responded to onboard requests)
  • Supporting projects when required (e.g. roll outs, systems implementations)
  • Providing pro-active feedback on how to improve the process and drive continues improvement projects

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise:

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Experience with Service Now, Ariba, and SAP desirable.

Education, Behavioural Competencies and Skills:


  • Degree level educated or proven track-record of experience in delivery
  • Good communication skills
  • Analytical skills (good command of MS Excel)


  • 2+ years’ experience working in Procurement, with plus in Procure to Pay Process knowledge
  • Experience or knowledge of Ariba downstream system
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience in Supplier Enablement Activities
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in service-oriented or regulated industries would be a plus.
  • Improvement-oriented mindset (focused on such techniques as Lean/Kaizen)
  • Interest/experience in external innovations and automation (ERP, WF, Robotics, AI)
  • General curious mindset
  • Building relationships and trust through challenging the status quo
  • Stress resistance, disciplined, and dedicated. Ability to stay calm and remain professional when customers are stressed or upset.
  • Ability to work on non-standard hours
