As a scientist, assay development - Cell Therapy working on the Pharm Science, Cell Therapy team, you will be empowered to build a world class cell therapy team.


The successful candidate will be responsible for developing analytical methods in supporting of the development of   T or NK cell therapies. This individual would shape the characterization strategies required for in depth process/product understanding and will be working closely with Discovery, Process Development, Translational and other teams.


  • Independently make plans and executes experiments to test CAR-T cells/ CAR-NK cells. 
  • Perform phenotypic and functional analysis of CAR-T/NK cells using multi-parameter flow cytometry and in vitro assays looking at phenotype, proliferation, cytokine secretion and target cell killing.
  • Develop and optimize new in vitro assays for testing CAR-T/NK function.
  • Coordinate in vivo studies and ex vivo analysis of CAR-T/NK cells.
  • Prepare study protocols, reports, technology transfer documentation, and regulatory documents for clinical trials.
  • Present study results at team or department meetings, to external partners or at conferences.
  • Understand project timelines and deliverables and plans/coordinates project work accordingly with departmental, functional and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with other members from different teams and demonstrates independent, self-starting and supportive of team-based research and able to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and assists with technical aspects of vendor negotiations.



  • PhD in Immunology, Cancer biology, stem cell biology and biomedical engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 0+ years relevant industry experience
  • Master’s degree in Immunology, Cancer biology, biomedical engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 5-7+ years relevant experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of standard immunology assays used to characterize CAR T or CAR NK cell products.
  • Expertise in multi-color flow cytometry including intracellular staining, multiplexed luminescent readouts, in vitro killing assays, Elisa…
  • Experience with xCelligence or incuCyte platform is desirable.
  • Prove ability to coordinate with multiple researchers for scheduling and execution of complex experiments
  • Proactive and highly self-motivated with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment


  • May require approximately 5-10% travel.
