The Salesforce and Account Management Analytics Lead is a highly visible team member in the US Business Insights & Analytics (I&A) function at Takeda Oncology. The Sales Insights & Incentive Compensation team enables data-driven insights to inform field force strategy, incentive compensation design and related deployment execution for the US Oncology Business Unit ( US OBU).
This role, along with Brand Insights, Access Insights and Patient Analytics colleagues, constitutes the integrated US I&A franchise team. In this position, She/he will proactively advise on the salesforce and account performance, lead the development and refinement of strategic account plans and sales force IC plan. The role supports the Sales and Account Management function and works closely with Business Operations.
Salesforce and Account Management Analytics
Inform Sales force size and structure recommendations for different phases of product life cycle
Leads performance/KPI development and field reporting, including best practice sharing across franchises, enabling a thorough understanding of regional performance and opportunities based on a variety of inputs
Collaborate with field leadership to support quarterly business review meetings to understand regional performance and put together a plan of action for the upcoming quarter
Conduct analytics projects in partnership with Brand Insights team, to inform field force targeting and strategy, sampling strategy and analytics, physician level sample allocation.
Field force training on analytics tools for performance evaluation and opportunity assessment for execution
Become an expert in CRM system in order to maintain affiliations. Summarize and share customer-level roll up of sales and marketing opportunities
Leads the integration of insight and analysis from a variety of sources to inform material decisions through the delivery of robust opportunities and market context. Consolidates a variety of data and information into actionable brand opportunities.
Provides objective quantitative analyses of field force performance and leads the development of business cases to determine key opportunities and address critical business issues for the brand
Collaborates with Health Data Science team to use predictive AI/ML techniques to surface opportunities such as next best action for execution efficiency; and lead the operationalization and field adoption of outputs through collaboration, education/trainings and change management
Incentive Compensation support
Maintain a compliant mindset to ensure all operational tasks are compliant and that appropriate analyses are performed to evaluate performance.
Manage, Report and administer the Sales Incentive Compensation Program by updating territory metrics on a frequent basis and updating the data into representative facing applications. Develop reports and manage data for Incentive Compensation and Marketing Campaigns
Design IC plan to assess sales force’s performance through a variety of compensation programs. Maintain/Validate Compensation and Contest calculations on a monthly and quarterly basis. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and timeliness of IC deliverables.
Update and communicate to the field all Quarterly documents including contests. Be able to update current documents and keep track of all changes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in forecasting, market research, or business analytics in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Experience with advanced spreadsheets, patient-based forecast and contract modeling including dynamic patient models
Experience in oncology, hematology or similar specialty areas and related EDI and Claims datasets
Experience with quantitative techniques including smoothing, regression, time series analyses, and simulation
Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools.
Product launch experience
Consulting experience with forecasting, market research or business analysis firm(s)
Knowledge & Skills:
Expertise in Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Broad working knowledge of commonly used biopharmaceutical industry databases
Working knowledge of global access and reimbursement policies, and competitive environment and potential impact on product development and commercialization strategy
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, including external vendors
Strong project management skills ability to plan, organize and execute multiple projects efficiently, on time and within budget
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to explain complex concepts to stakeholders in simple language and lead/drive consensus building
Demonstrated analytical skills combined with a client-service mindset
Demonstrated ability to think strategically to drive key business decisions
