As the Business Office Lead, you will manage CTO department wide global financial activities and budget initiatives.  You will serve as a strategic financial advisor across the global CTO team and give greater visibility to operating cost and total cost of ownership to enable business teams to effectively accomplish goals and objectives.

  • Manages a global group of employees, vendors, consultants and/or contractors to effect solutions associated within one or more areas of responsibility including providing administrative financial activities for CTO run and project budgets
  • With senior manager input formulates strategic plans for managing employees, vendors, consultants, and contractors for the CTO Business Office. 
  • Manage relationship with key CTO vendors including ongoing needs and business reviews
  • Identify operational needs and processes improvement opportunities and develop and implement solutions
  • Manage team to deliver finance related artifacts for the CTO Organization including Statements of Work, Master Services Agreements, Purchase Orders, Assets, Project Budgets (including Clarity project tracking tool and PEW Project estimation template), Actuals Tracking and Accruals

A typical day will include:

  • Hold self and others accountable for ensuring that all company policies and guidelines are met including core values, ethics, safety, finance, and security
  • Develop, manage, and maintain organizational structure within the group
  • Contribute analytical input to help define organizational structure within cost center and/or department
  • Collaborate across Information Systems/Information Technology (IS/IT) and business partners to achieve objectives and ensure alignment with IT Finance, Procurement, Vendor Management, and Business Operations on respective processes and policies
  • Translate resource needs and program direction to actions such as request for new hires or supplemental staff
  • Provide career path planning/coaching to employees and lower level managers
  • Communicates issues and successes up and down the group
  • Conduct month end close review and trend analysis with CTO Leadership team
  • Report high level expected results to CTO Leadership Team before IT Finance releases final, identifying major anomalies, and resolving G/L discrepancies
  • Work independently with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and primary resources on complex financial issues
  • Possess strong collaboration skills in a matrixed environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or High School degree with related work experience
  • 10+ years of business office experience (managing office purchasing, contract coordination, accounting, and etc)
  • Experience managing budget finances for and IT organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools – Excel, PowerPoint, Word

    Preferred Qualification

  • Experience building and maintaining Intranet sites using PowerPoint
  • Experience with Coupa, Ariba, and SAP Systems

  • Minimal travel
