Job Description

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

  • Lead the global S&OP processes for a selected number of products (covering multiple operating units and technologies) from late stage product development to end of product life-cycle
  • Collaborative establish transparent insights on demand and supply to meet patient demand and achieve Takeda's strategic goals as well as performance KPI’s
  • Schedule, plan and lead regular S&OP meetings and assure governance; tracking progress to plan and identify corrective actions when necessary, while collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Establish demand/supply planning measures and controls with a closed loop root cause and corrective action process to improve forecast accuracy, service levels and optimize inventories.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Facilitate and participate in regular S&OP meetings within responsibility and assure governance and issue resolution
  • Document and communicate key actions and decisions to drive organizational alignment.
  • Ensure monthly demand review process is performed across all markets and regions according to the guidelines.
  • Ensure monthly supply review process is performed at respective producing plants, CMOs and regions according to the guidelines.
  • Establish demand/supply planning measures and controls with a closed loop root cause and corrective action process to improve forecast accuracy, service levels and optimize inventories.
  • Collaborate with Master Planners to prepare scenario plans for S&OP discussions
  • Collaborate and partner closely with commercial and manufacturing functions to develop accurate demand/supply plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers (POL’s), Product Launch Teams and other Global projects to assure alignment and adherence to process
  • Identify supply and demand issues (and gaps to plan), identify scenarios to mitigate, and prepare recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Integrate key processes including but not limited to customer forecasts, statistical forecast models, installed based service models, market intelligence, inventory plans, product life cycle plans, operational capabilities, and external supply chain partners to generate an optimized global plan.
  • Establish the mechanism to track overall S&OP process maturity and lead key process

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Advanced presentation and communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Advanced Planning Systems, ERP systems and analytical tools (SAP IBP, JDE, Oracle, BI)
  • Strong understanding of supply planning principles and strategies
  • Strong knowledge with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of the principles of Lean and Six Sigma applied to Supply Chain
  • Knowledge on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
  • Basic knowledge on regulations (FDA, PMDA, EMA, CHMP,…)

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Master degree preferable, minimum Bachelor degree in Economics, Supply Chain or Natural Science with a strong understanding of Economics
  • Advanced pharmaceutical business knowledge and experience
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills
  • Understanding of continuous improvement concepts
  • Strong knowledge with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of Advanced Planning Systems, ERP systems and analytical tools (SAP/APO, BI)
  • Knowledge on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
  • Fluent in business English both verbally and in writing
