As the Global Commercial Lead-Post-transplant Cytomegalovirus (CMV) working in Global Product & Launch Strategy (GPLS) team, Takeda’s Global Commercial Strategy unit, you will be empowered to develop the vision and strategy for the brand. A typical day will include:

•    Build and lead teams both in one’s span of control, and cross-functionally
•    Launch execution and brand leadership aligned with the regions and LOC

•    Develop and deliver global maribavir marketing strategies, plans and budget recommendations

o    Ensure product strategies are translated into clear goals and objectives for all members of the organization 
o    Ensure country level engagement of the maribavir strategy and that there are management controls for flawless execution across the globe

•    Leadership of the cross-functional Core Launch Team, with over 10 different functions, on the strategic direction for maribavir adoption across the globe.
o    Lead, manage and coach direct team to improve overall skill set and growth and development (manage individual performance) to ensure down-stream execution at the country level.
o    Develop relationships and interact with cross-functional team members, and provide customer insights and patient centricity into all decision making, 
o    Create a high performing team culture that inspires purpose driven performance transparency in sharing information, honoring commitments, sharing opinions openly, keeping confidences and unity around shared decisions
o    Clear the path for team on key initiatives (including work with CMLR, medical affairs, legal, etc.)
o    Accountable for elevating key issues and driving decisions, with the expectation of quick escalation to PSL when necessary. 
•    Launch execution and brand leadership aligned with the regions and LOC
o    Build and foster meaningful relationships and interactions with cross-functional team members, including regions and key LOC
o    Coordinate marketing activities with geographic commercial teams with the mindset to ensure that a LOC/regional input is taken into account for all decision making
o    Ensure alignment of key global tactics with Regions and key LOC
o    Manage timely delivery of expected programs and tools to facilitate Regional and LOC launch preparedness

•    Bachelor’s degree in marketing/business or life sciences; advanced degree is a plus
•    Local/Regional/Global brand management experience (minimum 15 years of increasing responsibilities) in pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a high specialty/scientific environment; specific experience in Transplant or Infectious Diseases is a plus 
•    Managing teams – across cultures, borders and functions; including hiring, performance management and conflict resolution 
•    Country level experience and /or field experience is a must 
•    Excellent communication/influencing skills
