Channel Operations Analyst

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Responsible for the timely processing of Trace/Chargeback process for applicable trading partners as well as the key contact for Indirect Customer Master setup.
  • Assist in the identification and development of information and process requirements. 
  • Performs all data and process controls. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the timely processing of all daily chargeback transactions (including resubmitted claims) through Takeda’s contract management system to minimize deductions.  Must analyze and validate all submitted chargeback lines to ensure contract terms (price and membership eligibility) are met.
  • Identify ineligible chargebacks and clearly and concisely communicate chargeback denials and Takeda’s policy to wholesaler trading partners when submitting final payment/denials.
  • Work with wholesalers on the reconciliation of the disputed claims; identify root cause of issues and implement corrective action to eliminate future occurrences and reduce the chargeback deduction balance.
  • Review, evaluate and respond to all chargeback e-mail inbox resubmissions on a daily basis as required. These e-mails include chargeback resubmissions, membership eligibility questions and other miscellaneous requests requiring additional detailed analysis and follow-up.
  • Perform monthly 340B membership analysis using the Office of Pharmacy Affairs website and Takeda’s Model N system to ensure eligible covered entities in our system still are covered or if the entity needs to be expired.
  • Support the Channel Ops & Contract analyst in researching class of trade, validating customer information and eligibility for all new indirect trading partner and ad hoc requests.
  • Ability to understand Takeda’s diverse product portfolio (Gen Med, Specialty and Plasma) and ensure compliant practices across the managed markets, C&P, Controller and Finance organization.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years contracts and pricing experience required.
  • 5-years of business with 2-years of chargeback/rebate  processing experience in the Pharmaceutical industry required.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry within the Contracts and Pricing space is required.  The Contracts and Pricing space includes; federal and state pricing and reporting, commercial chargebacks and reimbursements; commercial agreements and discounts; transactional systems; and other pharmaceutical trade practices. 
  • Model N software experience
  • Ability to think through how decisions will impact Takeda, customer and stakeholders prior to execution. 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks in a matrix environment.
