Primary role

Manage strategic cross functional analysis for Site Portfolio, Business Support, Marketing, Center Development, Operations, and the BioLife Leadership Team. Transform large, raw data sets into strategic and actionable insights for program, regional, and senior management teams. Monitor and apply current data trends in order to subsequently determine root cause and develop alternative strategic solutions that are proactive and inform the business strategic direction. Perform cost benefit analyses for strategic initiatives ranging from liter collections, costs, site portfolio potential, comparative retail vs. land development and center construction cost. Develop and improve upon predictive models for market volume and attribute statistical analysis. Partner with Marketing to design and develop optimal cost structures related to geography and market penetration.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the site selection model and refinement of methodology.
  • Ownership of the center renovation and relocation model.
  • Creation and education of center/market level penetration reports.
  • Analysis and monitoring of donor recruitment and retention
  • Model center level demographics to benchmark metrics and compare similar locations based on donor populations across varying geographies.
  • Research external data sources to build assumptions and related business models to support key initiatives.
  • Collaborate across various internal departments to align business initiatives.
  • Support competitive intelligence processes.
  • Identify key variables linking business processes and customer behaviors.
  • Develop predictive models for market differentiation and drive key strategies.
  • Apply analytical techniques to draw conclusions and provide comprehensive reports on findings.
  • Analyze problems and market trends to identify opportunities and improvements.
  • Define and articulate business rules required for data accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide Operations support to centers and regional management teams.
  • Prepare correspondence and presentations.

Education & Experience Requirements

Essential:  Bachelor's Degree

Desired:  Master's Degree

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in marketing, analytics, retail, commercial operations, or business development preferred.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Candidate must be an innovative problem solver, able to identify, recommend, and present solutions to senior management. Must be results driven and organized, able to manage time independently with limited direction.
  • Must be able to manage teams and change effectively, in a fast paced environment and across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize multiple projects/workflow and manage time efficiently in order to meet established timelines.
  • Proficiency with building and managing sustainable large data sources and queries, and build improved visual reporting that is user friendly and intuitive.  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, iXPRESS, ArcGis, ESRI tools, SharePoint, Cognos, SQL, Qlik or Tableau required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
