Takeda Internship and Graduate Programs

Takeda is proud to offer internship programs that blend real-world experience with an extensive overview of the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance for interns as they gain professional hands-on experience and learn how to apply their skills to a future career at Takeda.

Takeda’s internship program ensures that every student and post-graduate receive a fulfilling experience over the 12-week period. Elements of the program include:

  • 1:1 coaching sessions - interns meet with a mentor and receive tailored coaching
  • Lattes with Leadership - casual discussions with Takeda leaders
  • Department discoveries - high-level overviews of the way a department functions, followed by a Q&A session
  • Giving back - interns and managers participate in a community service event
  • Personal branding workshop - interns receive 360 feedback and a personal assessment to help discover their personal brand
  • Social networking events - interns and their managers enjoy various social activities throughout the summer

IT Professional Development Program

Takeda's IT Professional Development Program is a highly selective program that develops IT Professionals by incorporating intensive on-the-job training with supplemental development and interaction with our global business leaders. In this highly visible development program, you’ll have the opportunity to influence strategic organizational initiatives and work on meaningful assignments that drive our business forward. Program participants will use Business & IT knowledge, problem solving, and relationship management skills during high-impact strategic assignments designed with the purpose of building a sustainable pipeline of high potential IT Talent at Takeda.

Required:

  • Completion of a BS degree program, preferably with an emphasis in Information Technology/Computer Science
  • Previous internship experience required for full-time consideration
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0/4.0
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Global mindset to thrive in a diverse culture and environment

Desired:

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical biotech industry

MBA Commercial Leadership Program

Takeda’s MBA Commercial Leadership Program is a highly selective program that develops leaders by incorporating intensive on-the-job training with supplemental development and interaction with our global business leaders. In this highly visible development program, you’ll have the opportunity to influence strategic organizational initiatives and work on meaningful assignments that drive our business forward. Program participants will use business & management knowledge, problem solving, and relationship management skills during high-impact strategic assignments designed with the purpose of building a sustainable pipeline of high potential Commercial Talent at Takeda.

As a salaried full-time Takeda employee, you will spend approximately 2.5 years completing rotations.

Required:

  • Completion of MBA degree program, preferably with an emphasis on marketing or general management
  • Three to five years of prior industry/work experience
  • Previous MBA internship experience required for full-time consideration
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0/4.0
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Global mindset to thrive in a diverse culture and environment

Desired:

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry
